About HairLysia
HairLysia began with a stubborn belief: hair writing should be specific. Not “try a bob” but which bob, on which hair, cut to which length, and exactly how it grows out. We cover cuts, color, styling, and care for every age and texture — from a teenager’s first fringe to the silver layers of someone who has earned every strand.
We test before we recommend. When we say a bond builder works, someone here put it on bleached ends and watched what happened. When we name a flattering cut for a round face, it’s because the geometry holds up, not because the phrase ranks well.
Our work skews warm and editorial — closer to a beauty magazine than a how-to mill. Every look is photographed to be saved, because Pinterest is where most of you find us, and a good idea deserves a good image.
Who writes here
Elena Marchetti, Senior Beauty Editor — Elena Marchetti has spent twelve years writing about hair — first at a Milan style desk, then across digital beauty. She specializes in cuts and color for mature and fine hair, and tests every technique on her own silver-streaked lob before recommending it.
Nadia Okafor, Contributing Stylist — Nadia Okafor is a licensed cosmetologist with a decade behind the chair. She focuses on textured and curly hair, heat-free styling, and scalp health, and she translates salon-room technique into steps you can follow at your bathroom mirror.
Priya Raman, Hair Care Writer — Priya Raman writes about the science of healthy hair — what bond builders actually do, whether rosemary oil holds up, and how to read an ingredient list. She reads the studies so you don't have to, then says what the evidence really supports.
How we work
Read our editorial standards and sourcing policy for how we research, test, update, and disclose. Spotted something off? Tell us — corrections are a feature, not an embarrassment.
